End The Backlog Update
Thanks to everyone who came out to Noise Records yesterday. We matched the generous donations made by all of you and so together we raised $172 to help end the backlog of hundreds of thousands of untested rape kits across the United States.

Two rape kit reform bills, S.B. 1449 and A.B. 3118, are pending in the California legislature. S.B. 1449 has passed the Senate and will be going to the Assembly floor for a final vote and A.B. 3118 has passed the Assembly and will be going to the Senate floor for its final vote.
Please contact your state legislators now. Urge them to vote Yes on S.B. 1449 and A.B. 3118 before August 31.

End The Backlog Benefit at Noise Records
Saturday August 25th! This is a benefit for an organization that is doing important work legislatively and otherwise to ensure that the backlog of the hundreds of thousands (!) of untested rape kits in this country get tested.
Why is there a backlog? “The backlog of untested rape kits represents the failure of the criminal justice system to take sexual assault seriously, prioritize the testing of rape kits, protect survivors, and hold offenders accountable.”

WOWEE ZOWEE
WOWEE ZOWEE that was a rad weekend. Many thanks to Baron Jarred Von Hand for organizing everything for PRF West 2018, to Jordan Sobolew for running sound, to The Golden Bull for hosting, and to Conan Neutron for capturing our newest jams live. There were too many rad performance this weekend to count, but holy shit go see DRUG APTS if you can. Stellar.
Our next Bay Area shows aren’t til July, but we’ll be up in Chico on 6/1, and Arcata 6/2, so spread the word to your friends who reside in such beautiful places. See you out there!
